Mad World è una canzone scritta da Roland Orzabal membro della band inglese Tears for Fears. Era il terzo singolo dei Tears for Fears e raggiunse il terzo posto nella classifica UK Top 75 chart nell'ottobre del 1982. Nel 2001, la canzone visse una nuova giovinezza grazie a Michael Andrews e
Gary Jules che ne fecero la colonna sonora del film Donnie Darko (film incredibile).

Personalmente preferisco la versione di Andrews a quella dei Tears for Fears.
